388 South Main Street
A one-story brick craftsman bungalow with gable roof home
was built for William Mackelprang, a rancher and cattleman, in 1917. The foundations, sills and lintels are
of conglomerate stone quarried southeast of Kanab. The stone gate was originally in front of the home of John
Ensign Riggs on 44 South 200 West Street.
(This home was torn down in 1987.)
Virgil Riggs had the stone gate moved to this home from his boyhood
home. The present owner is Mrs.
Gladys Riggs.
