22 North Main Street.
Prior to 1914, the mail in Kanab had been handled in several
different places, including various homes, the courthouse, and space in private
business establishments. When Persis Ann Brown Spencer became the postmistress,
she saw how important it was for the town of Kanab to have a proper post
office, and she saw that one was built. This post office had letterboxes,
convenient window-delivery and a service desk in the lobby. It has been restored with living space
in the top story. Presently owned by Eve Levrae.
